“Rachael is a gifted SLP and leader in our field of AAC. She realized she couldn’t make the change we need one SLP or family at a time, so she founded a groundbreaking conference to share knowledge within her region. Reach Language takes her commitment to AAC to a whole new level. My favourite thing about Rachael’s work is her deceptively simple visuals. She takes complex ideas and makes them easy to share and understand.”
— Erin Sheldon, MEd
AAC is a relatively young, quickly growing field. There is so much work to do, as we strive to provide rich communication and literacy instruction to all learners. I’m passionate about sharing what I have learned with others, as we push forward to set higher standards for supports aimed at individuals with complex communication needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids. We have two sweet Boston Terriers and we all enjoy swimming, biking, and traveling.
